The first season opened with several members of Night's Watch who betrayed his oath to encounter a horror creature that supposedly never appeared again for thousands of years. One of them managed to rise from the massacre (White Walker) a Call for horror creatures like zombies. But he was captured by other Night's Watch members and had to receive a neck cut by Eddard 'Ned' Stark of the northern king, Winterfell. Then told the harmonious life of the Stark family that bearing the Wolves. Ned Stark has five children from his wife, Catelyn Tully, Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon and a bastard named Jon Snow who is about the same age as Robb.
The harmony of the Stark family was disturbed when the party from King's Landing, the capital of Seven Kingdoms, came where King Robert Baratheon asked Lord Stark to become the Hand of the King (after the Prime Minister) after the previous Hand of the King, Jon Arryn, died of illness and intent Married his son, Joffrey, with Sansa. Lord Stark initially objected to the honor but came by a letter from Lady Stark's sister (Catelyn), Lysa Arryn, who was none other than Jon Arryn's wife, who reported that her husband died of poisoning by The Lannisters, the family of King Robert's wife Queen Cersei.

The Lannister family itself consists of the twins Jaime and Cersei and the dwarf, Tyrion. Their father, Tywin, leads a territory in the west named Casterly Rock. At the end of the first episode Jaime pushes Bran down from the tower because the 10-year-old boy caught him middle with the Cersei. It made Bran paralyzed. L

The first season essentially tells the hostility of House Lannister to the House Stark. Sadly the harmonious House Stark had to be separated. Sansa and Arya follow their father to King's Landing, Jon Snow chooses to join Night's Watch troops-northern guard from Wildling and White Walkers, Lady Catelyn who follows Lord Stark to King's Landing and informs her husband that Bran is actually being pushed from Tower (not a fall) and a stranger trying to kill the boy a second time.

On the way back to Winterfell, Lady Catelyn met with Tyrion and then made her a prisoner and took her to Vale, where Lysa lives now. Jaime gets upset and attacks Ned Stark on the King's Landing street and kills Ned Stark's army. One of Jaime's troops had injured Ned Stark's leg. But Jaime was angry with his men and beat him up. Then he left King's Landing to Casterly Rock. The interesting thing is when Ned Stark told him that he had Lady Catelyn to take Tyrion hostage when he himself did not know anything about his wife. It is hard to find today when a leader protects his subordinates by acknowledging the mistakes of his men as his fault. Today's leaders tend to wash their hands and contribute to cornering his subordinates when the guys make a mistake on their own orders. Shame! At least, this husband protect the wife well not the leader protect the staff. Forget it.

Well, Ned Stark knows the secret that Joffrey and his siblings, Myrcella and Tommen, are not the biological boys of King Robert but the outcome of Cersei's dark relationship and his twin brother Jaime (WTF ?!). He also knows the whereabouts of the illegitimate children of King Robert. When King Robert is dying of a wild boar attack, Lord Stark tells the Cersei that he knows the truth about his children and he asks Cersei and his sons to leave King's Landing immediately.

Before King Robert died, he asked Ned Stark to write a will. What I'm wondering is, why is not there a single witness at that time? There is only King Robert and Lord Stark. Contents of his will, King Robert ruled Ned Stark to become the King's Superintendent and the Royal Guardian after his death, and ruled the kingdom until Joffrey was of age. Meanwhile, Renly Baratheon, Young Robert's younger brother, wants Iron Throne when he still has a brother named Stannis Baratheon who is more entitled to the throne after King Robert. Renly invites Ned Stark to rebel against the kingdom and promises 100ribu troops behind Ned Stark but is rejected. Ned Stark did not want bloodshed in the King's Landing while King Robert's tomb had not been dry.

After King Robert, Ned Stark begs the protection of the Golden Cloak and City Controller to Master of Coin, Lord Baelish, if Queen Cersei still proclaims Joffrey as King. The next day, he was summoned to the council to swear to the new King, King Joffrey. But Ned Stark refuses because of King Robert's testament that Lord Stark is designated a Patron of the Kingdom and reigns as Superintendent until Joffrey's heiress is quite old. He shows a letter that is still sealed King Robert. Kingsguard, Barristan Selmy, read it to the royal court but Cersei requested the letter by tearing it. He regarded Lord Eddard Stark as a traitor and commanded Ser Barristan to arrest him. When the bloodshed was about to happen, Lord Eddard Stark ordered the troop of the Golden Robe and City Superintendent behind him to secure the Queen Cersei and Joffrey but they were betrayed. They attacked the rest of Lord Eddard Stark's army and Lord Baelish instead pointed a knife at the Lord of Winterfell's neck. Shit! Pieces of shit!

Lord Eddard Stark was held in Red Keep. The Lannister army was ordered to fetch Sansa and Arya but Arya managed to escape. The news of Lord Eddard Stark's arrest came to the ears of his son in Winterfell, Robb Stark, and his wife, Lady Catelyn who was still in Vale. Well, Tyrion has been released by Lady Catelyn because she asked for trial through the fight and she won it. Catelyn asks Lysa to mobilize his forces against The Lannisters to help her husband but Lysa refuses because she is more concerned about the safety of her son who is the heir to Vale's throne, Robin Arryn. Meanwhile Theon Greyjoy, a prisoner deemed family by The Starks, persuaded Robb to form a troop against The Lannisters. Robb was shaking because it was his first war. Robb gathered troops and began to move south while the position of Lord of Winterfell was filled by Bran.

On the northern border of Seven Kingdoms, Jon Snow has just sworn an oath of allegiance to become a member of The Night's Watch, guardian of The Wall. The contents of his oath are not to lead the kingdom, to win pride, to marry, and to escape from his duties as a member of Night's Watch. The penalty for the offenders is a beheaded punishment. Jon himself initially did not know that Night's Watch members contained a bunch of criminals, illegitimate children, and children who were not recognized by his family. He only knows Night's Watch members are the royal protector of the wild (wildings) and horror creatures (White Walkers). And it was Tyrion who told the truth about Night's Watch.
After hearing his father being held in Red Keep and Robb was moving south to fight, Jon Snow's oath was tested. He wanted to join Robb to fight against those who oppressed his father. But he was reassured by his friends at Night's Watch. He went back to Castle Black. Lord Commander Mormont knew about it but he still forgave him. Well, Jon Snow is much forgiven here despite his oaths being violated several times. Yes if Jon Snow until sentenced to death I spent watching Game of Thrones lol.

And comes episode 9 which is the peak of every season. Robb won the battlefield at Riverrun and took Jaime Lannister (which is the only good for the Starks) thanks to his trickery to Tywin Lannister. Sansa begged King Joffrey to forgive his father if Lord Eddard Stark was willing to admit his betrayal and acknowledge Joffrey as king. Joffrey agreed to the request of the girl he was about to marry. Queen Cersei also promised that Lord Eddard Stark did what Joffrey had ordered, he would not be punished and would only be "thrown" into The Wall and become Night's Watch's troop. But Joffrey denied it. After Eddard Stark acknowledged his mistake, Joffrey ordered Ser Illyn Payne to decapitate Lord Eddard Stark in front of the King's Landing people as well before Sansa and Arya hiding behind Baelor's statue. Cersei prevented Joffrey's orders but was not heard while Sansa fainted after seeing Lord Eddard Stark's head separate from his body. Arya himself was saved by one of Night's Watch members named Yoren who was looking for a new member.
